Deluxe box set featuring remastered scores from the Daiei Yokai Trilogy (1968 - 1969).

Disc 1 features the score to Kimiyoshi Yasuda's "One Hundred Yokai Stories", A.K.A. "Yokai Monsters: 100 Monsters" (03/20/1968).

Disc 2 features the score to Yoshiyuki Kuroda's "Great Yokai War", A.K.A. "Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare" (12/14/1968).

Disc 3 features the score to Kimiyoshi Yasuda and Yoshiyuki Kuroda's "Tokaido Haunted Journey", A.K.A. "Yokai Monsters: Along with Ghosts" (03/21/1969).

Bonus material for discs 1 and 2 include outtakes, outtakes at slow speed and cues at normal speed. Bonus material for disc 3 includes outtakes. Music by Chumei (Michiaki) Watanabe ("100 Monsters" and "Along with Ghosts") and Sei Ikeno ("Spook Warfare"). All music is in mono.

Additional Notes:

The score to "One Hundred Yokai Stories" was recorded on January 13, 1968 (Pre-scoring) and February 3, 1968.

The score to "Great Yokai War" was recorded on October 23, 1968.

The score to "Tokaido Haunted Journey" was recorded on March 13, 1968.

Here is a photo gallery of my copy of Daiei Yokai Trilogy Original Soundtracks (CINK-40-41-42). The photos were taken on December 21, 2017.

NOTE: This album does not include an obi. In place of the obi, a sticker is placed on the outside of the shrink wrap. So I wouldn't discard the sticker and to protect the box, I carefully cut an opening in the shrink wrap so the album can be released from the box with ease, leaving the rest of the shrink wrap intact.

This was actually the second and last portion of my order from Amazon Japan. The first portion of the order arrived on December 18, 2017 and consisted of Bloodthirsty Music: Toho's "Bloodthirsty" Series Music Collection (CINK-7), Monster Snowman Original Soundtrack (CINK-20) and King Kong's Counterattack Original Soundtrack (CINK-37).
