This is the first volume of Cinema-kan's "Toho 8-15 Soundtrack Series". It features the premiere release of the score to Kihachi Okamoto's "Japan's Longest Day" (08/03/1967 [Roadshow], 08/12/1967). Bonus material includes source music. Music composed by Masaru Sato. All music is in mono.

Additional Notes:

Cinema-kan's "Toho 8-15 Soundtrack Series" is a four volume series of the scores from the films that make up the "Toho 8-15 Series", a series a six war films released around the anniversary of Japan's surrender at the end of World War II. The series consists of:

02. "Admiral of the Combined Fleet: Isoroku Yamamoto", A.K.A. "Admiral Yamamoto" (1968)
03. "Great Battle of the Japan Sea", A.K.A. "Battle of the Japan Sea" (1969)
04. "Turning Point in Showa History: The Militarists", A.K.A. "The Militarists" (1970)
05. "Turning Point in Showa History: Battle of Okinawa", A.K.A. "Battle of Okinawa" (1971)
06. "Young Soldiers of the Special Navy", A.K.A. "Eternal Cause" (1972).

Masaru Sato composed the scores to all of the films in the "Toho 8-15 Series" except for "The Militarists", which was scored by Riichiro Manabe. Lastly, Cinema-kan has yet to conclude their "Toho 8-15 Soundtrack Series", as "The Militarists" and "Eternal Cause" remain unreleased.


I had a difficult time translating a couple of tracks, so I made a couple of minor creative choices.
