Premiere release of the scores to Kinji Fukasaku's "Yagyu Clan Conspiracy" (01/21/1978) and the television series of the same name (10/03/1978 - 06/26/1979). Bonus material, all for the film score on disc 1, include unused cues and selected tracks from the original LP album. Music by Toshiaki Tsushima. All music is in mono except for tracks 17 - 25 of disc one, which are in stereo.

Additional Notes:

The film score (disc 1) was recorded on December 24, 1977 at Toei Kyoto Studio Sound Stage.
I had a bit of a difficult time translating some of the tracks on disc 1. Thankfully, upon viewing the film (subtitled, no less), I learned that my translations were more or less accurate. Only a few minor revisions were needed.

This album is discontinued/out-of-print as of April 28, 2019. However, it can still be purchased at various online retailers that still have copies in stock.
