Description:

Premiere release of the score to Junya Sato's disaster film "Shinkansen Big Explosion" (07/05/1975). This is the seventh volume in a ten volume series titled J-CINE Soundtrack Collection. Bonus tracks include single record recordings and the unedited version of B-MIX. Music by Hachiro Aoyama. All music is in mono except for tracks 39 and 40, which are in stereo.

Additional Notes:

The film is known as "The Bullet Train" and "Super Express 109". The film is considered to be the inspiration for Jan de Bont's "Speed" (1994).

VAP's J-CINE Soundtrack Collection series consisted of ten volumes. Notable volumes include J-CINE Soundtrack Collection: Japan Sinks (VPCD-81172), composed by Masaru Sato and J-CINE Soundtrack Collection: Great Prophecies of Nostradamus (VPCD-81173), composed by Isao Tomita.

The score was recorded on June 24, 1975 at Toei Tokyo Studio.
