Remastered reissue (premiere as a standalone release) of the score to Jun Fukuda's "Great Planet War" (12/17/1977). Disc 1 features the record album and disc 2 features the film score. Bonus tracks include materials and outtakes for the record album on disc 1, and a wealth of outtakes and unused cues on disc 2. Music composed by Toshiaki Tsushima. Disc 1 is in stereo and disc 2 is in mono.

The film is commonly known as "The War in Space".
The score was recorded on December 5, 1977 at Meguro Media Studio from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM JST. The recording medium used was 6mm magnetic tape. The record album was recorded with a 60-piece orchestra (Toho Studio Orchestra) on 16-track tape, but the recording date and location remains unknown.
The electroacoustic material heard in the stereo record album was composed by Matsuo Ono. Two of the compositions are featured on tracks 26 and 27 of disc 1. More of Ono's compositions for the album can be found on Matsuo Ono - The World of Electro-Acoustic Sound and Music 2: I Saw the Outer Limits/The War in Space (KICP-2637), released by King Records on 02/02/2005.
Some of the record album material was mixed down to mono to be used in the film. The table below, compiled from information from the track-by-track commentary and cue sheets in the album booklet, shows what was mixed to mono and what cues they were used for, as well as what ended up being unused.
