NOTE: The Japanese track list below is presented as it appears in the album booklet. Additionally, the English translated track list follows the same presentation. Please note that some of the text may not align correctly for both tables. Additional Notes:
The film is known as "Destroy All Planets" and "Gamera vs. Viras".
While this marks the first (and currently only time) this score has been released on CD, it oddly was first released on LaserDisc of all places. It was part of the mammoth Gamera Permanent Preservation Project box set released in 1991.
This album is the second volume in a four volume series titled Daiei Film BGM Collection. The series only consists of scores from the Showa Gamera films, with the volumes being:
Daiei Film BGM Collection: Gamera Decisive Battle Music File - Space Monster Gamera (VPCD-81157)
Daiei Film BGM Collection: Gamera vs. Space Monster Viras Music File (VPCD-81158)
Daiei Film BGM Collection: Gamera vs. Giant Evil Beast Guiron Music File (VPCD-81159)
Daiei Film BGM Collection: Gamera vs. Giant Devil Beast Jiger & Gamera vs. Deep Sea Monster Zigra Music File (VPCD-81160)
Of the four volumes, only the fourth is out-of-print.
